Side Effects of Chlorpro Maxine

Abstract
|

|
The side effects of Chlorpromazine were surveyed in schizophrenics and manic-depressive patients with the subjects of 172.
The kinds of side effects of Chlorpromazine and the incidence of each side effect were studied.
The results are.
1) The most frequent side effect was dry wouth (74.4%), and most of the undesirable
side effects were transient and of minor clinical significance.
2) From the view point of system, the side effects of autonomic nerve system were most frequent.
3) The relationship between side effects and dosages administered was of no significance.
4) Except the Jaundice and skin lesion, no side effects were so severe as to stop the medication.
